In the future, Sany plans to invest 30 billion yuan in the investment and operation of distributed solar power generation, and will build a smart microgrid and energy Internet cloud platform.

The author contacted Cheng Weihua, deputy director of the president's office of Sany group for the first time. He confirmed the authenticity of the above news to the author and introduced that Sany's strategy and positioning of entering photovoltaic are based on its own advantages. "We do plan to invest 30 billion yuan in photovoltaic in the next five years. Now it is clear that we are not involved in the investment and construction of large-scale ground power stations, but in distributed photovoltaic, we not only invest and build, but also operate by ourselves and provide post maintenance services, and will cover markets at home and abroad."

More importantly, Cheng Weihua disclosed to the author, "in the future, this part of photovoltaic assets may be listed together with the group's wind power and other clean energy assets, or may choose to be listed separately".

It has great advantages in distributed photovoltaic

It is understood that after the 3.818mw distributed photovoltaic power station in Sany Beijing Nankou Industrial Park was officially connected to the grid for power generation, it has provided more than 100000 kwh of clean power in a week, an average of 10% higher than the expected power generation.

Cheng Weihua disclosed to the author that in the second half of 2015, Sany officially put the development of photovoltaic industry on the strategic agenda, established a solar energy preparatory group, and set the first stop at Nankou Industrial Park to gradually replace external power with distributed solar energy. At the same time, the company also invited experts from the State Grid to review the overall plan and conducted a lot of training.

"Sany has a principle in building distributed power stations, which is to make high-quality products." Under the questioning of the author, Cheng Weihua frankly said, "at this stage, we have no plan to intervene in the photovoltaic manufacturing end, but in terms of photovoltaic modules and inverters, we would rather spend more money than choose the top five suppliers in the industry".

As a signal that Sany will take action in the field of new energy, Liang Wengen, chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, once said that at present, the domestic economy has entered the "new normal" and the construction machinery industry is in the process of adjustment, so the company is actively seeking transformation. As one of the three core strategic sectors of the "New Trinity", the field of new energy will be "unswervingly built into a world-class brand".

People familiar with the photovoltaic market can roughly imagine the advantages of Sany's entry into the photovoltaic market. For example, the engineering machinery market and huge sales system distributed at home and abroad are highly coincident with the development and construction of distributed photovoltaic; Secondly, Sany is good at the remote control technology of construction machinery, which is exactly the advantage that many distributed photovoltaic investors and builders can't reach.

Cheng Weihua affirmed the author's judgment and added that from the perspective of distributed photovoltaic projects alone, Sany has a plant roof of 5 million square meters and will build distributed solar power plants in batches. It is reported that at present, in addition to Nankou Industrial Park, industrial parks in Zhuhai, Changsha and Lingang have been started or actively prepared. In the first half of this year, Sany plans to complete the grid connected power generation of about 100MW distributed power stations on the roof of the industrial park.

"On this basis, Sany has more than 100 offices overseas, and the above model can also be replicated in the scope of customers. At the same time, Sany has a business team of tens of thousands of people in the traditional channel. Without adding too much cost, they can carry out the development and construction of distributed photovoltaic projects and provide customers with post operation and maintenance services." Cheng Weihua said.

Clean energy assets are packaged or listed separately

"We will probably grasp the investment rhythm. We will invest 1-1.5 billion yuan in 2016, 3-5 billion yuan in 2017, 7-8 billion yuan in 2018 and 30 billion yuan in five years." Cheng Weihua introduced that under the guidance of this huge strategy, Sany will not only do the investment, construction and operation of distributed photovoltaic projects, "we also intend to be a smart microgrid solution provider (photovoltaic, energy storage, charging station, etc.) and an energy Internet cloud platform".

Cheng Weihua introduced that at present, Sany has more than 300000 devices outside, all of which have remote control and real-time monitoring functions. In the future, we hope to implement remote control for the distributed photovoltaic power stations we build. This is not power station monitoring in a simple sense, but to achieve the improvement of energy saving on the demand side. When we have millions of controller users, we hope to become a big data operator through the establishment of energy Internet cloud platform.

"As for the listing plan, Sany may choose to package the group's wind power, photovoltaic and other clean energy assets for listing, or may choose to list the photovoltaic business independently. There is no clear plan at present." Cheng Weihua said, "at present, Sany has strong competitiveness in new energy. Last year, the wind power sector achieved sales of about 6 billion yuan to 8 billion yuan when it set foot in the whole industrial chain".
